A double major consists of a primary and secondary major. Your primary major must
be in the School of the Arts and Architecture. To apply for a double major, you must complete a petition for Undergraduate Program Change. The petition must be
approved by both major departments and submitted to the office of Student Services for final consideration. Email us at students@arts.ucla.edu for more details,
or make an appointment to meet with a counselor in the Office of Student Services.

How do I transfer coursework from another college?
These instructions are intended for current undergraduates in the School of the Arts and Architecture.
If you have any questions, please contact students@arts.ucla.edu. If you are planning on taking GE courses
in the summer at another college, you must determine whether the courses are UC transferable. For California community colleges, California State universities, and UCs,
check online using ASSIST. (For other schools contact our office and we will check with UCLA Admissions.)
Compare courses offered to the School of the Arts and Architecture's GE requirements. However, we definitely recommend you
contact the Office of Student Services with your short list of possible courses. We will check with UCLA Admissions to determine whether the courses are equivalent
to UCLA courses, or whether petitions are necessary.
Keep the syllabus of each course. When you have completed the course(s), request an official transcript be sent to us at: Office of Student Services
UCLA School of the Arts and Architecture
Broad Art Center, Room 2200
Los Angeles, CA 90095-1620
We will make a copy for your file, and send the official transcript to UCLA Admissions for transfer credit evaluation.
Check with our office to determine whether any petitions are necessary.
Please note that concurrent enrollment at UCLA and another college or university is not allowed. You may study at another institution when you are not attending UCLA, or during summer session.
Seniors must abide by senior residency rules.
